With our solid foundations on chemistry and engineering, we have long been a pioneer in interdisciplinary engineering education and research, and the development of our original Department of Chemical Engineering to the current Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering is a key milestone in this persistent endeavor. Our pioneering work in engineering education and research have not only established a comprehensive and unique curriculum for our undergraduate students, but also afforded us to tune our educational and research objectives in accordance with the needs of Taiwan’s technological and economic developments. Through our interdisciplinary and up-to-date trainings, we expect that the engineers/scientists educated in our department are more adaptable to the rapid progresses in technology and science and more capable of assuming the leadership roles with decisive influences on the society.
